Engajamundo was created in 2012 after a group of friends took part in the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development - or Rio+20 - where they realized that there was a great lack of knowledge and experience to really influence this type of process. With the intention of increasing the participation and influence of young Brazilians in international conferences, Engaja was idealized to be a fluid and horizontal organization, where the young people themselves propose the activities to be carried out.

Over time, our lines of action broadened, as we realized that we also wanted to transform our cities and communities, in addition to participating in international spaces.
